Oru Theruvinte Katha (English: The Story of a street) is a Malayalam novel written by S. K. Pottekkatt in 1971. It sketches the calicut(kozhikodu) street and everyone belongs to the street,its the story of a street.Even the old electric post of the street  too playes important roles here.S.K paints the street that much completely.

ജ്ഞാനപീഠ പുരസ്‌കാര അവാര്‍ഡ് ജേതാവ് എസ് കെ പൊറ്റെക്കാടിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ നോവല്‍. 1962-ലെ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡ് ഈ നോവലിനാണ് ലഭിച്ചത്.

Sankaran Kutty Pottekkatt (ശങ്കരന്‍കുട്ടി കുഞ്ഞിരാമന്‍ പൊറ്റെക്കാട്ട്), popularly known as S. K. Pottekkatt, (March 13, 1913 – August 6, 1982) was a famous Malayalam writer from Kerala state, South India. He is the author of nearly sixty books which include ten novels, twenty-four collections of short stories, three anthologies of poems, eighteen travelogues, four plays, a collection of essays and a couple of books based on personal reminiscences. Pottekat won the Jnanpith Award in 1980 for the novel Oru Desathinte Katha (The Story of a Locale).[1] His works have been translated into English, Italian, Russian, German and Czech, besides all major Indian languages.

സ്വതന്ത്രനംത്തര കോഴിക്കോട്.തെരുവിന്റെ മാത്രം കഥയല്ല.തെരുവിനെ ആശ്രയിച്ച ആര്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടാത്ത, ദാരിദ്രം മാത്രം സുഹൃത്തായ ചിലരുടെ കഥ.ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ കയ്പേറിയ വശമാണി പുസ്തകം.ഇത്തരം ഒരു പുസ്തകം എഴുതാന്‍ എസ.കെ യെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചതെന്തു എന്ന്എനിക്കറിയില്ല.അപ്പു മാഷിനെയും മാലതിയേയും ഒക്കെ പോലെ തന്നെ
